HIGHLIGHTS FOR 2017:

Sunday Worship
The fellowship group is continuing faithfully gathering for worship every Sunday at 3 pm. Although at times, the group is experiences a fluctuation of people attending the worship. Nonetheless, people that are still faithfully attending the Mass every week believe that they are called to be faithful, as well as people believe that God is faithful in God’s work irrespective of the number of people attending. Similarly, people are holding onto the promise in the Scripture that “For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them "(Matt.18: 20).

After the worship, there is always an invitation for people to stay and be part of the community beyond worship time. At this gathering time, the group would share a meal together, or otherwise, would have coffee or tea and biscuits. The group has employed this practice in believing that since Christ has set the example for us, that is when Jesus was on earth, he often goes to people’s houses and break bread and eat with them.

Pastoral care
Members often care for by phone calls or home visits. New and Old members. In the last six months, the group has seven new people, five adults and two children, at the same time some older members no longer worship with us since they have to work on Sundays or move
to a different residential area.

Homework Club for years 3 – 9
The reason for the club: To connect young people and their families to the church in the hope that they come to know Jesus. The Homework Club has been growing strong and vibrant since it started four years ago. The Club often has an attendance average of 15 students. However, since the beginning of the year, 2018, the club has ten students for the reason that some students moved into high school, and often their schools offer a Homework club. As a result, some students no longer need our service.

Moving forward this year, there will be advertising in the newspaper to encourage those that need assistance to be part of the club. Through the Homework Club, we have been able to integrate the students into Christmas program that starts at the beginning of September. The students have the opportunity to be part of a Christmas play, in the choir and a Christmas dance. The program is a gentle way to introduce the student to Christianity, and it has been actively encouraging that every year parents are positively supporting the program. In December, the students and their families joined the Vietnamese fellowship in celebrating Christmas together, and this program is part of our outreach to the broader community.
