OUR VISION

 

Transforming Christian love into actions and in truth.

 

We, the Mission Support Group aim to proactively seek opportunities to reach out and respond to people in need so that the love of God can be shared and be manifested in their lives.

 

”If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? 

Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”

OUR MISSION

 

To create a community that:

 

  Raises awareness of mission needs and works in the church.

    Identifies community needs and provide support.

      Partners with Christian churches and organisation with mission programs locally and globally.

        Promotes active participation and involvement of the church in mission.

          Emergency and disaster mission preparedness response.

            Newly arrived migrants and refugees support program.

REPORT FOR 2017

INTRODUCTION

Mission Support Activities

  • Supported the LENTEN APPEAL (through the Good Friday Offering)

  • Royal Children’s Hospital (through the Gold Coin Tin in memory of Chris McDonald)

  • Salvation Army (through the Carols by Candlelight Offering)

  • CHRISTMAS BOWL APPEAL (through the Christmas Day Offering)

  • Mission and Partnership (Local Community and Overseas)

  • Continued partnership with Migrant Resource Centre North West Region (MRC)

  • Continued support with Lentara Uniting Care through Canned Goods Donation

  • Continued partnership with church programs in the Philippines:

    • Katuparan Village Kindergarten by UCCP Tondo

    • Alley3 Feeding Program by St Mark United Methodist Church

    • Transformation Program by Malate IEMELIF Church
